Price Tiers

Set wholesale, retail and shop prices per item and let each buyer be billed at their own rate automatically.

If you sell the same thing at different prices to different buyers, you can set up to three tiers per item — wholesale, retail and shop — and put each customer on the tier they buy at. The right price then fills itself in.

Set tier prices on an item

  1. 1Open Profile → Product Catalog and edit the item.
  2. 2Under Price tiers, fill in any of Wholesale, Retail and Shop.
  3. 3Leave a tier blank to charge the item's normal price to that group.
  4. 4Save.
Note
The item's ordinary Price stays the default and the fallback. Tiers are optional overrides on top of it — so a half-filled catalogue still sells correctly.

Put a buyer on a tier

Open the customer (add or edit) and choose a Price tier: Default, Wholesale, Retail or Shop. That's all — nobody has to remember who gets wholesale rates.

What happens when you bill them

Pick an item on an invoice for a tiered customer and the line is priced at their tier, with a small note confirming which one was applied. The item suggestions also show the price that buyer pays, not the list price.

SituationPrice used
Customer on Wholesale, item has a wholesale priceThe wholesale price.
Customer on Shop, item has no shop priceThe item's normal price — it falls back rather than selling at zero.
Customer on no tierThe item's normal price.
Tip
A tier price of zero is a real price — useful for a giveaway or a sample line. It won't be mistaken for an empty field.
Important
Tier prices are what you charge, so everyone on your team who can see the catalogue can see them. What you paid is a separate, owner-only figure.
